Dr. Ebony S. Vinson is an experienced licensed clinical psychologist with specialty training in health psychology and working with underserved populations. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Kentucky and completed a Clinical Health Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry at Virginia Commonwealth University. She has advanced clinical skills in the field of health psychology, specifically in integrated care models, pre-surgical psychological assessment for solid organ transplantation and bariatric surgery, and psychological intervention focused on health behavior promotion and managing chronic illness. Dr. Vinson’s clinical interests focus on using culturally-responsive CBT interventions to manage perinatal mental health, women’s health concerns, chronic illness, and stress. Additionally, she is skilled in goal-oriented therapy focused on the promotion of health behaviors as well as treating affective and anxiety disorders, trauma-related stress, and comorbid physical and mental illness.
