Bio
Amanda Colon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Master’s in Social Work degree from the University of Central Florida. She completed her clinical internship at a community behavioral health agency and there she developed a passion for working with culturally diverse communities and patients. Ms. Colon has experience working with the life-stage concerns of all age groups, from childhood through adolescence and into adulthood. She has experience in working with mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, bipolar disorders, trauma and PTSD, behavioral and emotional regulation concerns, and LGBTQ+ matters. Ms. Colon believes the key to a successful therapeutic relationship is a comfortable and supportive environment that allows each person the space to heal and regain a sense of control over their lives. As such, clinical interventions used are guided by each person’s specific needs and goals. She loves to incorporate her passion for creativity and spirituality into her practice and will take the first chance to introduce you to her beloved feline assistant, Tarot the Siamese cat.
