FORT MYERS, FL – The Silver Psychology Center announced that it has merged with Comprehensive MedPsych Systems, the largest private provider of comprehensive, multidisciplinary mental and behavioral health services in Florida.
Established in 1978, Silver Psychology Center professionals include neuropsychologists, psychologists and psychotherapists, specializing in adult and child psychotherapy, family psychotherapy, and neuropsychological evaluations for such disorders as ADHD, learning disabilities, memory problems, and dementia. The services are offered in a private practice model rather than the traditional community health center model. Silver Psychology is recognized as a leader for its work with children and families and for their expertise in the areas of psychological evaluations and the diagnosis of learning and academic performance problems.

“The Silver Psychology Center merger allows for greatly expanded resources and staff to provide a much wider array of specialty services,” notes Deborah Coe Silver, Psy.D., ABPP. “Eventually, we will be including psychiatry, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), biofeedback, neurofeedback and other state-of-the-art care for our patients across the entire range of mental health issues.”
Comprehensive MedPsych Systems accepts most insurance policies, including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida (and other states), Aetna, Cigna, United, and Medicare, among others. Soon, TriCare will be accepted.
Comprehensive MedPsych Systems was established in 1998 by Dr. Geoffrey Kanter, a double board-certified adult, and pediatric neuropsychologist and Executive Director of the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology. With the addition of Psychology Services of St. Augustine (PSSA) last December, Comprehensive MedPsych Systems now has 18 offices and 90+ clinicians providing clinical services in Florida, Alabama, and Indiana.
