Lynda A. Tenhundfeld, M.D.
Dr. Lynda Tenhundfeld is a Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with more than 30 year’s experience. Having trained at the University of Colorado Medical Center, Tufts-New England Medical Center and National Children’s Hospital, she has practiced in a variety of settings including Georgetown University Medical Center, residential treatment centers, schools, and outpatient clinics. She helped open the first CMPS offices in Alabama and now happily returns to the practice after two years in Colorado.
Dr. Tenhundfeld specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems associated with neurodevelopmental disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social Communication Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome and other genetic and chromosomal conditions as well as Intellectual Disabilities. She also provides psychiatric care for medically ill children with complex care needs. Through collaboration with the child’s family, and his or her medical and educational teams, the goals of treatment include helping the child maximize abilities while supporting families and caregivers.
