Cara Levitt, MS, ATR-BC
I am a Board Certified and Registered Art Therapist with the American Art Therapy Association. (ATR-BC). I graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School with a Masters of Science in Art Therapy in 2005. I’m a Sarasota native and after gaining experience working in residential treatment centers, group homes and doing in-home therapy, I moved back to Sarasota in 2009. I opened my private practice in 2010 called Draw It Out, Art Therapy. I have been working in the mental health and mindfulness field for over 10 years.
I am committed to empowering others to unlock their creativity and express themselves though the processes and products of art making. Art Therapy utilizes art making to help others tell their story, express their feelings and heal emotionally.
I work with all different age groups from children to seniors, but mostly with young adults and teenagers. I specialize in coping with anxiety, depression, bipolar, grief and loss, eating disorders, addictions and personality disorders.
