Dr. William F. DeWolf, II graduated with honors from Pennsylvania State University, University Park with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Med. He then moved on to medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine, formerly known as MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He followed this with a Psychiatry Residency at Drexel University where he did his clinical rotations at Hahnemann Hospital and Friends Hospital. Upon finishing his residency program in 2009 he took his first Attending Psychiatry position as Medical Director of the Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Butler Memorial Hospital in Butler, PA. During this time he also worked for a private outpatient practice. Most recently Dr. DeWolf acted as Medical Director and Chairman of Psychiatry at Jefferson Hospital, part of the Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA. He spent approximately five years there before getting married and deciding to move to Sarasota and work for CMPS. Over his ten year career, Dr. DeWolf has worked in a broad range of positions including inpatient, outpatient, ER, Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation, Nursing Homes, Long Term Treatment Facilities for the chronically ill and the ACT Team. He is excited to be working for CMPS and is very competent and comfortable working with all psychiatric disorders.
